First FCI Rally Obedience World Championship

First ROb World Championships was held on 28-29th September 2024 in Turku, Finland.

It was a great honor and pleasure for me to judge this year. Other judges were Tytti Lintenhofer (Chief judge, Finland), Martina Klein (Germany), Ida Lindgren (Sweden) and Brian Binnerup (Denmark). Judges’s secretaries were also experienced FCI ROb commission members and judges: Maryna Nemchenko (worked with me), Petra Nossian, Solveig Therese Malme Zetterstrøm, Vilemína Kracíková.

Since 2019, I have been in the commission of the FCI ROb, and we have been working for years on the rules of the FCI ROb. And finally, the first WC took place this year. I think that this is a very important step for the development of Rally Obedience.

48 teams from 10 different countries were participated. Teams from: Austria, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Norway and Sweden.
There were lot of beautiful performances at the World Championship. It was pleasure to see that all the participating countries are at a very high level and the level is quite equal. Even though some countries don’t have too long history of ROb.

It was seen that competing on second day is harder for dogs and more stressful for people. But lot of teams still managed to show very good work and cooperation.

Best three teams of the world in Rally Obedience in 2024 are:
